Caitlin Sterchi
Born in Portland, Oregon, Caitlin Sterchi started painting and drawing at an early age. When she moved to Kalispell, MT at age eight her passion for art intensified. Up until attending high school from 2005 to 2009, she had no formal art training and began to realize her full potential through art classes in high school. With the help of her art teacher, Caitlin achieved many prestigious art awards in her Junior and Senior year of high school. One such award was the 2009 Montana Junior Duck Stamp Best of Show and fourth overall in the national Junior Duck Stamp competition.
Being an avid horse-lover and enthusiast, Caitlin focuses her art mostly on horses, many a time using her own horses as subjects. Her art has been described as “refreshingly detailed and realistic” while still preserving a unique feel by use of color and style. Caitlin got her first horse when she was thirteen, and now at age 21, owns, breeds and shows her three horses. Horses and the depth of natural beauty they hold inspires Caitlin like nothing else. More than anything, she would rather be outside simply being with her horses and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of her Montana home.
Blessings,
Caitlin Sterchi
